Lenetta is a true Oregonian living in the state for more than 50 years. Go Beavs! Lenetta and her husband have been married for 43 years and have a large family including 3 children and 9 grandchildren with 6 of those grandchildren under 6 years of age. Read on to learn more about Lenetta!
Q: How and why did you connect with Destination Rehab?
A: I became involved with Destination Rehab during a summer evening hike in 2016 as a way to reconnect with the outdoors while also battling Parkinson’s disease.
Q: How would your family describe you?
A: A woman that has a big heart, is selfless, is strong, and works hard. Her family would also say she has no willpower when it comes to chocolate!
Q: What is an unknown or lesser known fact about yourself?
A: I spent 3 years flying bush planes in Alaska’s interior for the native school system.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Boating, fly fishing, hiking, knitting, riding my Panama Jack bicycle with no hands around Sisters, and sewing.
Q: What was your favorite Destination Rehab event from 2017 and why?
A: I was unable to attend as many events as I wanted last year after recovering from surgery. I’m looking forward to participating in a variety of events this year.
Q: What is a personal goal you have for this upcoming year?
A: Learn about the Destination Rehab community, learn new activities, and meet new people.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to share with the larger community?
A: I’m very excited to be a part of Destination Rehab this year. We live in such a sweet community when it comes to recreational activities! Here’s to a great year for Destination Rehab!!
