PWR! Classes

PWR! Moves is a specialized group classes designed for people with Parkinson’s. This program focuses on increasing your heart rate while including amplitude training (big and fast movements), gait training, and balance and coordination activities.

Who: Adults with Parkinson’s Disease who can get up and down from the floor and able to walk 25 - 50 ft with or without an assistive device.

Cost: Through support from the Parkinson’s Foundation, the PWR! Moves Class is free for patients with PD and caregivers.

Fall 2025 Programs

Bend PWR! Moves FREE for Parkinson's: LEVEL 1 - Fall 2025

Destination Rehab will be offering an 8-week PWR! Moves class in Bend this fall, supported by a community grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation.

LEVEL 1: Participants with assistive devices. Class will rely more on the chair/include more seated moves

PWR!Moves are Parkinson’s-specific exercises, and therefore only participants with Parkinson’s Disease are eligible. Each move is designed to target key skills that often decline with Parkinson’s, helping to maintain mobility and function. They can be adapted to different positions, tailored to individual symptoms, and made more challenging over time.

The program will begin on 10/10/2025 and end on 12/5/2025. It will occur every Friday afternoon 1:00pm - 1:45pm at Embark Fitness in Bend.
